Hey all
I was given this blu-ray player by Lovefilm after they stopped providing updates for my Smart TV. However, I am experiencing a frustrating issue with this machine which I cannot fathom.
When watching Lovefilm instant the video is very jerky/stuttery and very annoying. My TV shows me what video is being input and whenener the blu-ray is connected it states 1080p 60hz. I manually set the output to 576i and hey presto 50hz ouput and smooth video. I selected 576p and again 50hz with smooth video. Any other setting i.e. 720p/1080i or 1080p all output at 60hz and jerky video is the result.
It would appear that this player cannot output 1080p at 50hz.I have tried BBCiPlayer and other apps and they all output at 1080p 60hz.
I have tried playing a disc and 24p is recognised and played accordingly.
For reference I have a Panasonic blu-ray player and this outputs at 1080p 50hz when watching BBC iPlayer etc with no problems.
Is there any way of forcing 50hz output or is this a fault with the machine?
