Bravia 40xn700 as monitor wirelessly

Hello. I have a sony bravia 40xn700 TV and i would like to use it as a screen/monitor for my laptop. I already sorted it out for viewing photos and movies off my HDD with the TV's built in system but i want to be able to use it as an actual monitor, i.e. with the desktop on, browsing the internet, playing games etc. The laptop is a sony vaio vgn-sr29xn. I went to the shop and asked a guy what i need and he said he could give me a cable (PC to HDMI i think) but i might as well do it wirelessly with some program off the internet.  Please, i've searched all over but i didnt find an answer to my question.

Regards,

not possible

no laptop can send the screen over wireless, not with software, get a skinny long svga lead and run it snug round the room to where you want it or most usually use it.

look at cpc.com or farnell. there are some really low profile cables if u search.

computers send burst of data over wireless, it would not be possible to have a wireless screen from a laptop with just software.
