Freeview Play

I have recently purchased a Bravia KD43XE7073 (last week).

The only way I am able to access Freeview Play is by turning off the TV, disconnecting the mains lead, then turning the TV back on.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Hi Andy,

Welcome to the Sony Community.

I would recommend getting in touch with Support here for further help with this.

Thanks,

Thanks for your reply re Freeview Play

I have already contacted Sony Support.   Case:16621885.

I have carried out all instructions given without resolving this issue.

From reading other forums on Freeview Play it appears I am not the only one experiencing this problem!

It is not a big problem to re-boot the TV when I want to use Freeview Play it's more of a "niggle".

Kind regards

Andrew Pink

Apparently this is a known problem.  See below taken from using Google for: Freeview Play Problems

If you're experiencing problems with your Freeview Play TV, recorder or internet connection, a good place to begin is to restart your device. Simply turn your TV off by the main power button, wait about 30 seconds, and then switch the power back on.

I have spoken to Freeview Play Support.  I was informed this would be a manufacturers fault not theirs!
Is this correct?

Please advise
