Recently I have been getting the following message when I try to use BBC i player.
Internet download failed because size exceeded system memory unit. Not only can I not watch iplayer but it seems slow to load and getting from the Home icon to the category icon seems to take longer than it should.I can watch iplayer on my you view box and on my Amazon fire stick without any problem. The TV is a SONY KDL-42W653A.
Any help appreciated
Hi @muffin1947
This has affected my TV also, only mine will not load. My TV is a different model. It was working last night. I read this http://downdetector.co.uk/problems/iplayer
There is also this news https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/help/latest-news/sony_error
Probably an issue with iplayer rather than your TV. BBC are aware of it.
Regards
It has got worse now when I click on all applications then click on BBC iplayer it then says BBC iplayer loading and then all I get is a blank screen and tat stays there.
Hi Getting the exactly the same response (blank screen) from the iPlayer on my Sony KDL 24w605a TV. Is Sony working on this issue?
I have sent a few messages to Sony asking about this and have only had confirmation they have received the messages and given me a reference number. Will post on here if I hear anything.
is the iplayer working for you now? Mine started loading and working yesterday. Obviously issues with BBC rather than Sony TV.
