CREATING RECOVERY MEDIA

I have just purchased my 1st vaio and i need to creat a recovery media, however i am confused because it says that i cannot use a dvd-ram, cd-r or a cd-rw disc as recovery media so do i follow step 1 and install the updates using vaio and if so where will it be stored as the picture displaces cd's in the backup process and i am finding it rather confusing.

In the past Verbatim & TDK +R DVD's seem a popular choices of media to use when creating recovery disc's..

Sony suggest installing any Vaio updates for your model just in case there is an update that may be needed for the recovery utility..:smileywink:

You can check for updates using the Vaio upate utiltiy wich should be located next to the clock on the right of your taskbar.. (Link to a guide should you need it)
