Help - my Fn+F7 key doesn't work.

Hi,

I've had a BZ11XN for about 2 years, downgraded from Vista to XP, and it's been working fine. Recently I tried connecting a projector and went to use Fn+F7 to toggle between laptop screen and projector (external monitor) but nothing happened.

I contacted Sony support and installed Vaio Upgrade 5 today, but this has made no difference. The external monitor port is OK as I can get my desktop to appear on an external monitor using Display options to 'extend my desktop', and function keys F3 and F4 adjust the volume correctly, but it seems that FN+F5, F6, F7 , F9, F10 and F12 don't work.

Can anyone suggest a fix for this please?

Hi Andy,

Unfortunately Sony do not provide individual XP Utilities for your model - just the Full Downgrade to XP Application that does everything.

All I can suggest is that you download and install the XP Utilities for the BX61XN which will hopefully work OK.

You need to install IN ORDER: -

1.  Sony Utilities DLL

2.  Sony Shared Library

3.  Setting Utility Series

4.  Vaio Event Service
