Hi
I have a new vaio laptop VGN-FZ11Z with blu-ray - when I try to play the freebie Casino Royale Blu-ray disk the sound goes out of sync and the image slows. I read somewhere on the net that it's a problem with the WinDVD software - anyone know how I can remedy this?
OS:
Windows VISTA
Version:
8.0 DXVA B08.246
thx
Graham
Have you tried the demo version of PowerDVD Ultra?
I think the main problem is that Casino Royale is encoded in H.264 which is very entensive on the machine.
I had no problem with "Casino royal", but get this issue with "Flags of our fathers".
Suddenly, after 20', there were no sync between sound & image. I stopped the movie, go back to previous chapter, and tried again. Then It was fine.
just an update - I seem to have got this working fine now - managed to watch whole film with no problems on Saturday. I think the issue was that my power settings were on maximize battery, which I use when I am just using battery power, and when I plugged back in to the mains to play the film the power profile remained on that, when I should have had it on full power setting.
.. and there was an update of WinDVD BD for BluRay issue on july 9th
