My Vaio is dead

I came to my AR51SU today and it was in sleep mode (as I left it) and when I pressed the space bar to wake it up all the lights went out I then tried to start it with the start button but no lights or sounds appeared I looked at the AC supply and the light was on. Does that mean it's dead? Is the PSU fried?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi, wondered if you ever resolved this as our Vaio has done the same to us, 3 weeks ago now and still no signs of life but AC power light green??
