New Vaio User - the vaio gate and IE ?

Hiya , new owner and user and have some issues that cant understand . The VAIO gate - have lost IE from this on one of our users screen but not from others and do not know how to get back  - it is not on windows 7 start up or all programmes for some reason . Can anyone help ?

Also keep setting IE as the default browser but it keeps reverting back to not as default browser eveytime even after this is applied and it says it is .... cant figure that one out  ......is it me or are there gremlins in these machines

No you are not on your own, I've been going around the same circles.

No problem getting IE onto VAIO Gate - I think I just dragged the shortcut on to it and it stuck. However the other problem I hav'nt solved. See the trail under

related to changing the default browser from Chrome to IE. I've also asked Sony support who clearly didnt read the question so I've had to repeat it and I'm waiting for another response.

I'll let you know if I discover how to do it and I'd be grateful to know if you get there first!
