how do i install the preinstalled drivers downloaded from the vaio link website to replace my existing ones
Hi a4dil,
Why do you need to install the pre-installed drivers, what's wrong with your existing drivers..
i have found that when i play AVI videos the video/audio goes out of sync the returns to normal after a few seconds
also when i burn any video files using both Nero or click 2 dvd some titles go out of sync & do not return to normal
this happens on my n21s laptop and my fs515h laptop.
it never used to happen on my fs515h laptop but does now after i recovered it and used vaio updates.
do u have any idea why this maybe?
could it be because of a windows update
or due to vaio updates changing the drivers e.g the video one or audio
or a codec problem?
or do i have to update my intel graphics driver if so from where
Hi a4dil
A simple solution could be to run System Restore and return your Vaio to a point before these problems started..

tried it didnt work
any other ideas
If the source video and the output video are different frame rates (eg 30fps source to 25fps DVD) then with some programs the audio will drift out of sync. The only way around this is to find a DVD making program that converts the source video correctly (Windows DVD Maker that comes with Vista does this) or re-encode the video with a program that also encodes it correctly then use your normal program to create the DVD.
what is the best program the reencodes?
Try K-lite codec pack 3.5 full is released from here install everything except the morgan streaming

Even with the right codecs, Premiere gives me the sync problem. I haven't really looked into it too much as I also have Vista so I use that instead
I don't know if there's a way to stretch or shrink the audio to fit with Premiere... that might be an option.
