'quick web' access button

When I press the 'quick web' access button, I get a message telling me I do not have the software installed. How do I reinstall the software?

You can reinstall QWA from the Recovery Partition:

  1. Start
  2. All Programs
  3. Vaio Care -> Open
  4. Select Recovery & Restore -> Recovery
  5. On the next screen choose Reinstall Applications and Drivers
  6. Check the box next to Quick Web Access -> Next and follow screen instructions.
  7. Good Luck

I have the same problem. I installed a fresh windows and i also formated the recovery partition by mistake. And now i tried a link found here somewhere and downloaded the QWA. But after i installed it and pressed the web button i get the same message that it's not installed. What should i do?

Hi Foxtrot_47,

Have you also installed Sony Shared Library and the SFEP driver - these need to be installed before the splashtop software.

Do you have SPLASH.SYS, SPLASH.000 and splash.idx in the root directory of C:\

Hi! I tried this but quick web access was not in the list to restore/reinstall? I used to have this program of my laptop but tried in today for the first time in about a year and it's says it is not installed? Any other suggestions?
