I have a Sony KDL40W400 1080P Bravia TV and was wandering if its tuner is capable of picking up the new terrestial HD channels such as BBC HD and ITV HD whic are now being broadcast in my area?

You need to have a HD Freeview Tuner to receive terrestrial HD broadcasts.

This is only available on the very latest TVs.

However, you can buy a HD set top box for £70 from Tesco.
