I wonder if anyone can suggest what is going wrong with my plan to run Win7 on some very nice Vaio hardware?
1. Purchased SV-F1531C5E direct from Sony UK.
2. Removed Windows 8 HDD and replaced with Samsung SSD (original HDD never even booted up).
3. Installed genuine Windows 7 on new SSD.
Everything good so far, Win 7 boots up successfully, however, obviously need the Win7 drivers for this particular machine - screen fonts in VGA mode, no network etc.
5. Found and downloaded drivers in section Preinstalled Drivers and Utilities published at:
https://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/SVF1531C5E/updates
Still optimistic at this point.
However when installing them I get an error.
The error message is: "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements..."
The spec. of the above model will know that it is more than up to the task.
There must be something simple I am missing. Most strange. Has anyone else come across this situation?
