Hi,
According to the Finnish Sony support page, Sony Vaio model vpcea2s1e should support external display resolution up to 1920x1200. However, it seems that this is not the case.
I tried to connect my 24" LCD monitor with native resolution 1920x1200 (16:10) to my Vaio and it doesn't allow me to select anything above 1920x1080. How can I set resolution to 1920x1200?
I'm using HDMI and WIndows 7 64bit. All the software has been updated to their latest versions.
Here's the support page stating the maximum resolution (see "Ulkoisen näytön enimmäistarkkuus"):

This version of Vaio uses ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145.
Hi doopy_
Take a look here http://www.amd.com/us/products/notebook/graphics/ati-mobility-hd-5145/Pages/hd-5145-specs.aspx
Assuming you are connecting via HDMI, you are limited to 1920x1080 on the HD 5145.
You'd need an HD 5470 to get 1920 x 1200 thru HDMI (used in some of the newer E series).
