Having upgraded to Windows 8.1 (from Windows 7) the in-built webcam is showing as not connected/ or in use on Arcsoft.
In Device Manager, under hidden devices, is showing Imaging Device USB2 Camera ;
'Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)
To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.'
Driver is showing as the correct driver.
Please note that the webcam was present and connected in both Arcsoft and Device manager initially following upgrade to Windows 8.1. The Laptop was purchased from Sony with Windows 7, so Sony repair centre have returned the laptop on several l occassions as no fault found (having reset the laptop Windows 7).
