hi guys, I have a big problem. I tried to install windows 7 32 bit on my VGN-SZ3XP, FRESH INSTALL, I have install all with success but fn keys and s1 s2 stamina/speed don't work.
I tried all guide I have found in internet but nothing. I tried to install the latest
Sony Shared Library
Sony Utility
Setting Utility Series
Event Service
Power Management Service

buth nothing...... i'm desperate! can someone help me?

Hi alexgaia,

Sorry, I don't get here as often as I weould like these days.

Are you using Vista Compatible Utilities? I don't think there are any for your model on the Vaio Support website - only for XP and these will not work with Windfows 7.

I think you will need to try the Utilities that you have mentioned but from a model that was released with Vista installed. Try downloading and installing the Original Utilities Package for the VGN-SZ4XWN from here and install them in order: -

You may have to install them twice!!

I don't know what else to suggest.

Check that the SFEP and SonyPI drivers are installed.
Try looking in Device Manager by expanding all the sections in turn to see if there are any yellow warnings that a device driver is not installed.

Have you have installed ALL the Utilities from the SZ4? Are you installing them in the correct order: -

1. SonyUtils DLL
2. Sony Shared Library
3. Vaio Event Service
4. Setting Utilities Series
