Car radio question

Hi 

I have recently purchased a Sony AV Receiver XAV-AX3005DB and was told it would work along side my iPhone. I can connect via Bluetooth but I do not know how to connect through Apple play or even where the USB port is. This is the first one I have brought and I would like to know how I can attach my phone so it will show the Apple play screen and not the normal screen. I have a 2013 Corsa and like I said was told by Halfords that I could do Apple play. Can anyone help me to work out how to get this working? Thanks.

Welcome to the Sony Community.

It might be possible that your restriction settings do not allow the device to connect with Apple CarPlay.
Check the following settings below to disable restrictions:

1. Tap Settings.
2. Tap General.
3. Set Restrictions.
4. Tap CarPlay.
5. Set Disable Restrictions to ON.
6. The icon on the right turns green.
