Hello,
When I try to change the cover art of Curtis album (manually and by "acquire" function) on Music Center for PC and transfer it to NW-A55L, the cover art doesn't change (there is no art by default). So I said let's try and use custom art of Dark Souls OST that is working and try to use it on Curtis album and didn't change it! But when I tried Dark Souls cover art to apply on The Dark Knight OST it did change. What is so special about Curtis album?
I've been googling and trying lots of combinations like tagging software, 600x600 image and to compress the image too. Nothing works. They are baseline JPGs. Can someone help me? I can't figure this out.
Maybe I should mention that I changed the region to Japan by command prompt to raise the volume cap. But I don't think this is the problem because most of the music is working. When I delete the Curtis album and import it back the art changes back to default art. So the cover art is not truly embedded.
Any ideas or experience with this kind of problem?
Hi Mr.Armenia,
Welcome to the community.
I'll see if I can track down an answer. Maybe someone else in the community has an idea in the meantime.
Thanks,
Pascale
I have figured out that part of the problem was that those were my ripped CDs in WAV format. When I ripped them again in FLAC it worked. But it doesn't explain why my David Bowie album collection in FLAC doesn't work. Tried to check if some of them are read only.
When I select a new art cover and press to convert it reverts back to a wrong album cover.
the Sony walkmans don;t like the jpg files of the album art to be saved with the "Progressive option on - when saving the JPG file before it's embedded into your music file.
Try saving the artwork again with "Progressive" tick box turned off, then re-embed that back into your music file and check it, it should work fine.
I agree with Darkmiss2020. If it doesn't work with Progressive turned off, you may be dealing with a corrupted file.
If that's the case, then try copying the original file again and try it one more time.
