Unfortunately I only read it via reviews after I bought the product but it came to my attention that ith strong wind the touch controls are going crazy. Today I experienced it myself and people were right.
Since we have a proper app and firmware for these headphones I would love a feature to allo me to completely disable touch controls. I just want to put them on and go without worrying about the wind, or if I accidently touch it, or even when my hoodie covers it, it seems to have problem with that.
We could be allowed to switch it back on either from the app or by switching headphones off an on again (in case someboy nicks your phone in between ;))
Hi legatus_,
Welcome to the community.
I'll try to find some answers for you. In the meantime though, someone else in the community might respond.
Thanks,
Pascale
the touch controls work? I find them almost totally unresponsive
Hi Legatus
I found this article on the Sony website related to unexpected behaviour when using the headphones in cold weather, but there seems to be a simple workaround for it: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/wireless-headphones-bluetooth-headphones/wh-1000xm3/artic...
P.s. I'll pass your feedback/feature request to my Sony contact.

Yes I read that aritcle earlier. It doesn't apply to cold weather, it applies to any weather, wind, even walking fast and turning your head left makes the connection to become very unstable and the music drops every 1-2 seconds
Any update on this topic?
So its an ugly work around, but I taped three layers of electrical tape over the touch controls to disable them. I only did the forward/reverse sides as I didn't have an issue with volume up/down or pause but it appears to have worked. I was bumping the track skip touch with my shoulders which screwed up my audiobook order.
I love almost everything about these headphones, but this!
I ride a bike to work. As soon as it rains I like to have my hood up and the headphones go mental!!!! I wish I could still return them.
Or if it just had the function of turning the toch controls off!
Edit: it is there!!!
I have the rain hood issue and if I am gardening then any plant brushing against the headphone skips tracks etc. Not good.
Here is one option. It is ridiculous having to do this with such an expensive product. https://youtu.be/1JoKqDqtEa4
