I have had a set of WH-1000XM3 headphones since Christmas, when i was gifted them by my dad. They have always had a slight creaking issue but this has become noticeably worse over the last 3 months to the point that they now creak loudly when i move my head at all or even open my mouth. It is a mechanical cracking sound and it's coming from the physical casing, not from an issue with the speakers as it happens when they are off as well. This seems to be coming from the arms that connect the cups to the headband. The connection points on the cup are not tightly secured and can be pushed inwards, recreating the popping sound. Is this a faulty set or is this just a bad design? I'm a bit disappointed because i've looked it up online and this seems to be quite a common issue due to the plastic casing. How can i resolve this as it ruins the sound quality completely.
