XAV-AX100 not connecting to iPhone

I'm having serious issues with my XAV-AX100 head unit. Within a week of installing it the connection to my iPhone started giving troube and soon would not connect at all. I sent it back to sony in Wales for repair and it came back 3 weeks later still ...!! It will charge my iPhone now but will not start apple car play and if I select usb device it informs me that there is no device connected.

I'm not too sure what to suggest so I'll see if I can find some answers for you. In the meantime, maybe somebody else in the community may have some ideas.

Hi there,

 

Does that issue happen with any iPhone you try to connect? If so, I'd try to reset the system (steps can be found on page 14 of the manual here) and if the issue remains, you can get back in touch with the Sony centre in Wales where they should be able to take care of this since the first repair was very recent.
