Sony x turns on but says ui stopped

Hi can any one help if got a sony Xperia x and when I turn it on it loads up with a black screen and say system to has stopped and won't do anything can any one help

You might need to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory, so sadly you'll lose any stored data in the process.

iv just downloaded xperia companion but as my phone as a blank screen i cant unlock it to preform software repair. is there another way

Try this:

2B. If the device can't be detected or powered on, or if you it's a SmartWatch 3, make sure you have ticked the box in the bottom left corner "My device cannot be detected or started, or is a Smartwatch 3" and then click on "Next".
