Hello ,
i have a problem in my Xperia Arc S which i can connect only in "GSM Only" mode but never in "WCDMA Only" mode or even in WCDMA/GSM .
when i try to connect in 3G my phone looks like it can't see any network connection while my friends have 3G in there phones in same place/area .
i've noted this issue later and after i've made the 1st update of my phone and now i'm using it with latest update in Android 4 .
i don't know how to fix this and to be able to connect in 3G
Thanks
Do you have the accurate APN settings? You SIM card allows you on that network?
yes and i've used Tweakker App to config my phone and i've tried to config it via config messages from my carrier .
and my SIM works fine in 3G in any other phone .
How long have you had the SIM Card for?
few years ago , but when i have tried another SIM working on Nokia C7 on 3G , it doesn't worked on my Arc S
you should get a new SIM card, also check if you have a taskiller or antivirus acting up

i said that i have tried 2 Other SIMs from 2 different Networks and the problem still on .
AND in same time other phones have 3G in same area (actually in same room).
i don't have any antivirus installed and i don't know about taskiller ?
it couldn't be manufacture issue ?
i have tried 3SIMs Until this moment but with same result , when i choose WCDMA Only it doesn't connect to the network .
and if WCDMA/GSM when im in 3G covered area the phone network got disconnected and when i'm in non 3G area it works fine in . (that's when i choose WCDMS/GSM automatic selection)
and what do you mean by taskiller ?
I have exatly the same problem since last monday.
I've made the update to ICS few months ago and all work fine.
Suddenly last Monday, the phone doesn't want to catch some 3G BTS.
My SIM works into another phone.
When the phone doesn't 3g antenna, only the GSM only mode works.
Futhermore, the baterry raise down more faster.
Are those other SIM Cards around the same age as yours or are they brand new?
Have you spoken to your Network Provider/Carrier at all regarding this issue?
