Creatouch how to install it w/o playnow???

Does anyone know how to install creatouch w/o playnow? I had playnow before the update but now its gone and I cant seem to find a way to install the app, any suggestions?

You could try using PlayNow on the SE website, the link to which can be found at the top of this page. Downloading Creatouch to your computer then transferring it to your X10 and installing from there (use a file manager app to do this, such as Astro). Hope this helps!

EDIT: As it turns out, you can't easily find Creatouch on the PC PlayNow Arena. If it turns out you can only get it through your phone, then it would appear that until your phone gets PlayNow back on it, you won't be able to get Creatouch. I don't know if you tried to repair your install or not, but you could try that and see if it helps.

It's not available everywhere, is it?  I was trying to get to it yesterday, but it appears not to be available from Canada.  Not that I really need to download more apps...

Yeah, it isn't available everywhere. I just find it weird that the OP had it and then didn't after the update.

It's not available in Canada because Rogers wants us to use their urMusic app instead of PlayNow.

Also, from what I've been reading most people have been underwhelmed, if not disappointed, with Creatouch. It does what it says it can do (from what I've read) but I guess they were just expecting more.

I have an unlocked unbranded phone (no I didn't unbranded that's how I got it originally from SE). before I updated my phone I had PlayNow but now its gone,

I dont know what Generic LAM (b) stands for.

It doesnt make sense that after the update PlayNow is gone, and we should've got Creatouch w/ the update.

Creatouch is just a useful way to customized your wallpaper and indeed that's all it does but its quite useful

I figured it out, there are Two ways

1) Go to settings -> Applications -> make sure Unknown Sources are checked

2) Download wooboo file manager on android market

3) go to: /system/app and look for playnowarena.apk

4) select it and install it, voila now you have PlayNow

Now if you don't have Playnowarena.apk in your phone then:

1) download "0I File Manager"

2) mount your SDcard to your computer

3) download this file [REMOVED] and copy it anywhere on your SD card

4) unmount  your phone

5) open 0I file manager

6) look for playnowarena.apk

7) press on it and install it

😎 now you have PlayNow

In case anyone else runs into this situation:

You can point your mobile web-browser http://m.sonyericsson.com/sam-resetplaynow and install the application at this page. PlayNow will be back on your phone just like new.
