Facebook Video Playback

I cant watch a whole video on Facebook on my Z2, for some reason it throws out an error. 

Plus within 10min of using the phone it gets really hot. 

I havent tested out the waterproof factor yet as i think i have a dud phone.. 

Any help on the video issue would be great..

This thread started on may 28th, and there's still no solution for this extremely annoying problem.
Today there was a new update for Facebook, but that didn't solve it.
As I have said so many times before - the fault is the phone. Not the Facebook app.
Come on Sony. Get your fingers out the butt, and fix this issue.
Or at least post some responses.

I am so sick and tired of this phone. It was absolutely not worth the money I paid for it.
How come that real low-tech phones don't have any problems playing embedded videos in the Facebook app?
A huge brand like Sony would be expected to produce top quality phones. But no..
The Xperia Z2 is my first Sony phone, and I can guarantee that it will also be my last Sony phone.
I will even go so far, to meter buy another Sony product. Whatever the product might be.
I'm through with this phone. I'm so disappointed and will NEVER recommend this lousy phone to anyone.
And now - please post a comment Sony, to let us know if you care or not.

I have been reading the same issues all over the Internet. I have the same issue. I swapped over from Samsung, but I'm about to pull the Sim card out and go back to my note 2!

I've had the same problem plus the overheating whilst filming in 4K. As others have said. This is my last sony product

Me too not playing said video error whats wrong?

Mine solved by clearing apps data.  Go to setting>apps>facebook>clear data . Your need to relogin your fb.

This is only a temporary fix as others have said. The problem will come back.

Uninstall the Xperia Facebook plug in.

Then 50% more seem to play.

You can also force the others to play by scrolling past the point of failure and then restarting the video.

What exactly does the Xperia Facebook plug in do? I still have the Facebook share option in gallery and I don't sync my phone book.

Just uninstall chrome browser and use other browsers. Tadaaa problem is gone!!!!
