PC Companion phone fixing procedur is same with flashing ftf?

Is PC Companion fixing procedure just flashes ftf like flashtool? Or it fixes for real?

Just reinstall the latest update.

I have a problem about my battery, so i always flashed ftf's for the problem was still there or not. But I never tried pc companion. So I am asking to you guys.

I wish i could try it right now but my time is pretty full right now

What seems to be your battery issue?

When I use my phone heavily and close my screen, my battery drains like %2-5 more when my screen is closed.

That seems to be an app acting up, it could be that you are auto uploading pictures or its just a third party app, repair your phone with PCC and then don't install any app, and check again, you can also turn off WiFi and see if you experience the same behavior

Still happening even in safe mode. I'm thinking that I should change my battery.
