Hello all again,
I guess I rather post this in the FireFox/Mozilla forum but maybe someone knows:
Firefox becomes unusable with the latest Android9 update. Until now, by pressing the finger on a link, a window opened on the touchscreen asking me for "open in new window, open in new tab ..." . While some fast tapping opened a small stripe-window with "copy, cut, select..."
(sorry, my phone is in German, don't know what the english-speaken people get displayed here).
Now, with Android 9, I only get the "copy, cut, select..." dialog. I DO NOT get the "open in a new window..." dialog anymore when tapping on a link. Neither when tapping single, double, slow, medium, fast, ...
This kills Firefox for me, as the feature is still working with Chrome, but a google-browser is the last I will use on my Android spyphone, sorry, smartphone.
Does anyone know anything about this? I checked the web, but wasn't successful in finding any solultion or any other user having this issue with Android 9 + Firefox.

Problem is solved, thanks to the FireFox Camp.
Actually, under Settings => General one has to disable the set option "In-App tabs" (might differ in name from the english speaking Android. It was enabled starting from Firefox in at least 2014 as I haven't changed this button on my last two phones. Now with Android9 it seems to have changed its behaviour.
