Slow motion video with DSC-RX100M3?

Slow motion video with DSC-RX100M3?

Is it possible to shoot slow motion video with the camera DSC-RX100M3?? If yes, then how to do it and what options are there? How slow slow motion is it possible to capture??

Not really as in "you have to make slow-motion video with an external program". (and only 2x slower)

On the newer models, special HFR (high frame rate) slow-motion capturing programs are indeed available. But those frame-rates are much higher than what you can get from the RX100 III sensor. It's a different sensor design, not just software.

Well, you can say that you can actually record with 120 fps - but that is as you say "only" about 2-4 times slower than normal play back (25-50 fps). But with the Mark IV version of this camera, one can actually record with 1000 fps, what means up to 40x slow motion. So that is really interesting. And the DSC-RX100M4 is not too expensive.

Indeed, the RX100 IV is a really interesting camera, I find it a bit expensive though.

The RX100 III gives 100 fps in 720p and PAL (120 like you said is possible, but I believe in NTSC only).

Perhaps important to note (for others) that the quality drops dramatically with increasing framerate and slow-motion duration
