I can do a 'grab' in 21:9 when using Cinema Pro but thats not quick or useful. Am I missing a setting somewhere as all I can see is 1:1 4:3 & 16:9?
Hi @weichai ,
I assume you could take photos in that proportion. Have you tried:
21:9 format is *not* an option in the camera app
um, 21:9 ratio is not an option there

While using the camera, tap (Aspect ratio icon). Select a setting.
, seems strange considering Sony describe it in their 'camera hints' as availible on Xperia 10/10 plus
you are probably correct, maybe Sony will add 21:9 format as softwre update, pity as your pictures filling the screen would look awesome
Update coming next week from what I hear. Should sort the 21:9 photos out 👍
I cannot take 21/9 photos even though it shows up in the Support App on the Xperia 1, it's very annoying.
You can only tak 21:9 photos through the CinemaPro app. Such a strange omission from the regular camera app, to be honest. It's little things like this that keep Sony from being top dog in the mobile business.
Strange, they include a video tutorial on the Xperian1 that shows the 21/9 option on the regular camera app. Somebody messed up!
What on earth is going on?! How can Sony release a phone with a dedicated aspect ratio screen size, even with recording tools to fit the format, but not so for normal front camera shots?!
How can any multi-national top tier product be given the green light for release with such a glaring feature missing?! I was so looking forward to shoot in that aspect ratio from something as slim and
convenient as a smartphone, but I didn't think that the software wouldn't allow for it!
Can anybody confirm if an update has corrected the matter, and if some kind soul please upload a screen recording of the menu option and what a shot looks like. I've combed the web but cannot find any 4096 x 1728 imagery (2.39:1).
