Xperia 10 Plus Unsupported SD car After updating to android 10, the phone stopped seeing cards above 8gb. After inserting a 32 / 64gb card, it displays the notification Media SD card not supported. After entering the settings, the formatting is 20%, shortly after starting it displays a message about the formatting completed, but the notification still occurs and the cards do not work. Any ideas?
My 32gb sd card works. However 3 other 128gb cards have the same issue. Sony please fix this in the next update.
I just updated to 53.1.A.3.57 and it is still the same. all 128GB cards not working , 32GB card working
I still have the same problem trying use my 64gb card
I've given up on trying, like sony have to find the answer...
Surely there must be one
Very strange recognises upto 32 and nothing else
Looks like we're stuck with it! 😥
Heyall, there's a way to check the SD card on all Xperia phones, the Support app tests should include one for the SD card, check it out and see if it's detected then.
that is not fair.
in android 10 the support app does not support these 128GB SD card.
however in android 9 the support app DOES SUPPORT these 128GB SD card.
just because of android change you do not support anymore? hardware is the same
It could be a new Android security feature to not support any non genuine SD card, you can try a different SD card and let it be sandisk.
Nothing to do with cards
THEY ARE ALL FINE
is the bloody phone that corrupts the date on the card on start up
I'll make a video ana show how the same card works fine on an Android tablet and then also works fine in the phone..
But after doing a re start we're back to square one...
So something on the phone corrupts card
And it's only happened advert Android 10 update...
They're probably a setting in the Android system that's not been set correctly
Only able to accept cards upto 32gb
Try clearing some of the phone's internal storage, maybe that could help, you could also (a bit of a far stretch but still) backup the data from the card, format it and restore it once more and check if the card remains fully detected later, there could be some bad file there.
Tried that before many times and didn't work. Put in a Samsung 128gb card. Phone detected card was error and ask to format. So format the card and card can be detected. Tried copying a few songs to the card via USB using phone, card was not taken out from phone at all. After a few mins card failed to be detected again.
Did you try a different 128GB card to be able to isolate the issue?
it also could be a hardware issue, I recommend that you contact the support team.
