Hi @Emanue1974
What is the full model number of your TV (It will start with KD). The first thing to try is a factory reset. A factory reset often sorts out these type of glitches.

If that doesn’t work then you need to chase your Retailer for a replacement or if that is not possible then contact Sony UK Support
Please let us know how you get on.
If the TV doesn’t seem to be responding to the remote, look and see if the light on the bottom of the TV flickers when you press buttons. If it does, then the remote is working, but the TV is not responding to it.
If the light doesn’t flicker, look at the business end of the remote through your smartphone camera; this will make the infra-red visible so you can see if the remote is actually working or not.
Next, if it is, point the remote at the TV and hold down the On/Standby button on the remote for 5-10 seconds, at which the TV should soft reboot, and perhaps work OK again.
If still no go, there is a little cluster of buttons on the corner, bottom back, of the TV, where you can power it off and on again. See the user guide.
All these are things you can try, prior to powering it on/off at the wall or factory resetting it.
If nothing works though, do make sure there is no-one standing underneath before you hurl it out of the window 😊
Hi @Emanue1974 Just another quick thought. The remote sensor on the TV is not obscured by a Soundbar or anything else?
