Hello
I am planning to upgrade my audio system with a Sony HT-G700 and I have a Sony TV Bravia KD43XH80XX.
So watching reviews I have learned about eARC.
Since Ive noticed my TV has only ARC, can anyone help me out telling me what would I be missing if getting this setup?
Do I have better options for the audio sistem?
Main interest is using it for movies and playstation.
Thank you
Hey Sebastian, eARC means more sound options indeed. Check page 36 of the sound system's manual: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/5013/a7331a2ac21272c9e0b1630905e8439c/50130591M...
hello hannah,
your answear doesnt help me, but thank you for your time.
i can underatand that i will be missing some audio options, but my question is if that is the case, will this soundbar still be worth it in this case.
also what are the chances of still having those options through arc (since techical data sugests that its not necessary to miss options if you are having only arc). maybe being sony to sony would enable the missing options - some people say they experienced this nevertheless having just arc.
please dont reply with another link to the manual if you dont have a more fulfilling answear. thanks
Normally you don't buy a soundbar for the earc connection, so the info needed is what you are looking for? Being that you will connect it to an entry level small panel TV I guess you are not willing to buy a top audio solution , so this soundbar could be a good compromise.
Hello @Sebastian, yes i agree with @rooobb you will not be missing on a lot of fetures and you could consider buying this soundbar for future proofing in case you change your TV to an eARC compatible one so this will definitely be worth it.
