ever since the oreo update i keep getting the error message ethernet disconected on the the apps on the tv but if i watch the same apps on my blu-ray player or skyq box there are no problems i contacted sony support but all they say is there is not a problem with the tv and they wont do anything about it so i am left with a tv that does not work i have been buying sony tv since 1994 i will not be buying another sony tv as you are treated like dirt i would advise others to do the same
i have the same issue , although they haven’t closed it off yet.
ip4 - done
changed router to bt home hub - done
tried wifi to bt fn - done
after a few auto reboots i can get connected to my phone for a min or 2
i can ping the Tv , so it’s connected to the net work but no internet
You will see the ext naive debugging i’ve done as well and their answer
im in Uk with 5 year john lewis warranty, so in 10 days they will be my next port of call.
so obvious it’s update related, if only we could roll back via USB install

Hi ancaise,
Did you try to reset the TV to default settings? Did it make any difference after the update?

Hi Stewartgordon4,
If you disconnect the ethernet cable and use WiFi does the same thing happen?
Cheers,

Hi Stewartgordon4,
Have you tried connecting to a different network? Like a Mobile hotspot?
Cheers,

i’ve now had the standard reply from support , if in warranty call us or take to a shop and pay repair.
same as you guys, stopped working after auto update.
This is getting silly now.
As I have Sky Q, I don't use the Sony home screen much, but I do when I want to watch Amazon prime.
At least twice a day while watching Sky, a message saying words along the lines of "Ethernet disconnected" comes up on the screen, and almost anytime I want to watch Amazon Prime, I have to reboot the TV.
I've tried a factory reset, I've tried switching Ethernet cables, I've tried different Ethernet ports on my router (they all work fine with everything else in the house), but the TV will not stay connected.
Mine is the KD49XF9005BU
As others have said, it started since the Oreo update.
I am NOT going to disable IPv6 on my router, everything else in the house works with it enabled and this TV also did when first purchased.
The TV came with a 6 year warranty and if this isn't solved soon, I will be claiming on it, I first discussed this in another thread in here July last year, I think I've been patient enough.
