HDMI 1 or 2, your choice.

3 is for Arc/eARC if you have a soundbar or AV system, and 4 should be used for your gaming rig, PlayStation or Xbox, again if you have one.

(If you don’t have either of these things, then you could perfectly well use 3 or 4 for the Virgin unit).

The cable that comes with the Virgin box, or the one you were using before will suffice. The new TV isn’t going to suck any extra performance out of the HDMI cable used 😛

My favourite bedtime reading is a Sony product manual…

Hi @cosher   Is there anything special about your Virgin Media Box? If not then any HDMI port is okay apart from the eARC port if you are using a soundbar or AV Amp. Depending on the length required (max 3 metres for UHD HDR recommended for passive cables) then any High Speed HDMI cable like Amazon Basics for under £10. Don’t be fooled into paying more.
