Does anyone have a set of TV XD70 and receiver dh520?
I have a problem, bravia sync does not work. TV in any case does not see the receiver.
I can only send sound to the receiver via optics.
PlayStation 4 works with sync perfectly, visible in the list is controlled by the remote. (mean sync is work)
I tried all the settings of the receiver (of course, the control is enabled), tried different inputs and outputs.
The receiver is in the list of supported models for TV, but sync does not work, the HDMI icon is active
As a result, I cannot transfer audio via HDMI from a TV
the only time the sound went through HDMI when connecting xbox 360 via HDMI to the receiver, and the receiver to the TV also via HDMI (the passthrough worked)
tv have last august update
ps on optics, the sound only from the built-in player goes to DTS and DOLBY, kodi and others are all in PCM (regardless of the audio output settings from the TV).
one thing. if bravia sync active. i can use remote from dh520 for TV. magic. but receiver not listed on TV sync .
Hi there,
Welcome to the community.
We'll check this and get back to you when we have more information. Maybe some of our members will have some experience to share.
Best wishes,

will be nice. because I'm at a loss as sony TV is not "friends" with sony reciever
Hi Olegjeler,
Have you tried resetting the amp? The steps can be found on page 29 of the manual here: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/res/manuals/4263/42633611M.pdf

yep. "cleared" but in bravia sync list amp is missing and TV sound sending to amp only via optic, i'm try factory reset TV too.
one else, if I connect xbox 360 to "game" hdmi port on the reciever and passthrough on to TV, the receiver via HDMI/ARC send only video to TV without sound, I can check it if set "sound out" in tv audio setting to the tv speakers ( but maybe it should be).
the remote from receiver operate with TV with only optic conected and without hdmi :), but with only with bravia sync on
only next solutions left
- different HDMI cable (but i think that HDMI cable from PS4 pro suitable for ARC ).
- broken HDMI/ARC on TV or on receiver
- TV software problem....... becouse I tried almost all the other options
Hi again,
At this point I'd try going back to basics:
-Make sure all devices are running their latest firmware.
-Try having only the TV and amplifier connected to see if any of the audio issues will happen.
-If possible, try connecting a sound bar or any audio output device to the TV via HDMI to make sure it outputs audio.
-Definitely try a different cable.

-Make sure all devices are running their latest firmware.
TV - last update, amp - hmm - how i can check firmware on it?
Try having only the TV and amplifier.....
- nothing in any combination with my all devices.
if possible, try connecting a sound bar or any audio output....
- will try to find, but now i have only xbox/ps4/laptop they can send video and audio and all TV HDMI ports can take it and play via TV speakers. today I can't and i don't know how to check ARC function of my TV or dh520. But why bravia sync don't see dh520? I think it two problems in one point.
Hi,
Now that I think about it, you can also test the amplifier with another TV if you can (using HDMI) which should be very insightful.

so, check with another TV and good 2.0 hdmi cable...... nothing.. Problem in amp HDMI/ARC out port.... way to service 😞
