Hi.
Whwnever I add new music to my SONY HAP S1, or change som of the music tags, tha database starts the updatting process. This takes forever. WHwn I turn the system off I get the message, that the system automaticaly will shut down, when the updating proces is finished. An hour later the sytem shuts down. However- when I tuen it on again the udate proces continues. It has now been updating for several days!!
It's not possible to edit playlist, when the databas is being updated.
How do I stop this update process?
The only special thing I have is a lot of concert recordings and my own music recording, which for obvious reasons wont be in sony's music online database.
I have the same problem with my HAP Z1. You may try a rescan, it's an option under HDD Settings. It doesn't erase the contents of your disk, but just the database and then builds it up again. It didn't work for me, but maybe you are luckier.
Good luck. I even tried a factory reset, erasing the hard disk, and then transferred all files again, but the problem is still not solved.
I have this problem too. It keeps updating when switched on, even when I have not added any new music. I have jut posted another problem thread that I am experiencing. Wondering if it is the latest update that has caused the problem.
