BDV-N590 - freezing

 Hi,

I recently upgraded the firmware of my BDV-N590 but 9 out of 10 times I turn it on it gets stucks on the screen with the blue line through the middle and the panel flashing white. It is very frustrating as nothing works. Does anyone know how to fix it please?

Hi - I'd try completing a factory reset as this will reset the software and hopefully flush whatever gremin is causing the problem. Do feedback if this doesn't resolve though.

I have had a bit of a look at this, and I cannot see an alternative way to reset this back to factory default without having it switched on.

If you cannot switch it on, you might be best to contact Sony Support and get it repaired.

Hi, Still having problems. What is the best way to full reset the system? I have gone through settings, factory reset etc but still having problems.

That is the only way to factory reset the device (as far as I know)
