hi i have a sony BDV7200W the screen is flashing but i have absolutely no function at all?.

I'm probably stating the obvious but have you tried powering the unit down and unplugging it from the wall for several minutes ?

What is displayed when flashing? Does is say: “PRTECT”, “PUSH” , “POWER” , "LOCKED" , "D LOCK" , "E" with a number or "!" ?

No the player display/ buttons just flash, ( play, pause etc). the top display is on TV but the unit completely unresponsive, not even eject.
any help is appreciated.
Well, holy crap on a cracker,
the breakdown occured when i was working away & when i got home never thought it was necessary as the unit had been off for several days, but guess what, "it's only flippin worked". I feel stupid it's always the first thing i do, but not this time.
THANK YOU, i'm up & running again.
