HT-CT260H Setting controllable tv has no effect

Hi,

I have a Sony KDL-37EX403 which I have connected to my HT-CT260H successfully via ARC (sound and auto on/off by tv working). I'm trying to get the soundbar remote to control the tv on/off but the details in the manual for sony TVs (pg 12) doesn't seem to work.

Has anyone successfully use this? I'd just use the it pass through but that only works if the sound bar is a considerable distance in front of the tv

Hey there

I think its the other way around - the TV remote controls the soundbar via a feature called Bravia Sync.  However sometimes not all functions will work - ie specific sound fields etc.
