Surround Sound System for BDP-S7200
Hi Forum,
I have purchased a Sony BDP-S7200 player and I would like to ask what would be the most effective surround sound set-up to purchase ?
The player is connected to a Sony KDL - 55X4500 Bravia.
I previously had the Sony theatre system DAV - SB300 which is a bit outdated now so looking to upgrade significantly.
Would a soundbar be a possible substtute for a surround sound system ?
Thanks in advance,
James.

Hi James,
A soundbar might be a good option since it's compact and sounds pretty well. Anyway, surround sound is only virtual - so no real surround sound.
If you want to have real surround sound I would recommend an amplifier and 5 separate speakers - e.g. http://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/home-cinema-speakers/ss-fcr3000
Cheers
