Freezing issues

Help please my computer keeps freezing up on me about 5 mins after turning on, i have done restore to earlier point and other little bits and nothing is working what could be wrong??

Unfortunately, this could be caused by many things.

Give us a bit more information and someone may be able to make some suggestions.

1.  Which Vaio model do you have?

2.  Does the Vaio get hot?

3.  What are you using the Vaio for when it happens?  Or is it totally random?

4.  Do you get any error messages onscreen or errors in Event Viewer?

5.  Are you using the original Operating System?  Have you installed any new software or drivers recently?

6.  Are all the Microsoft Updates and Vaio Updates up to date?

7.  Have you tried resetting the Vaio to Factory Defaults?

1      Its a Vaio VGN-NW2OVF

2      It gets a little hot nothing major thou.

3     Its freezing is very random

4    Im using orginal system

5     I dont get any error codes

6     all updates are up to date.

7      i have not reset to factory as im afraid ill lose my itunes and everything? It does not stay on long enough for me to back up pic music etc before freezing

Anyone that can give me a idea of what is going on would be great.. Thanks
