Sony do not even support Vista on this model - let alone Windows 7.
Try running the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to see what drivers you will need to find and what hardware will not work: -

My thoughts are that you are very much better off sticking to XP because you will lose all the Sony software and several functions - such as the Fn Keys - will not work properly.
