hi i have a vaio vgn-fz18l   when i boot it up the power goes through the laptop dvd works fan work but the screen is blank like theres no power going to it....any idea what could be wrong ???

Hi scot4u52,

Have you tried connecting an external monitor?  Does this give a normal display?

If you shine a torch on the screen, can you see anything?

I assume you do not see the Vaio logo at Startup?
