Apple Mac compatibility with Content Transfer
I have been advised by Sony that Content Transfer will not operate on the latest IOS 10.15 Upgrade (Catalina). Without this my new Walkman WS413 is useless. Great product but no use on Apple products if Sony do not update their software. When I asked, Sony were unable to give any indication of if or when it would be upgraded

Hi there,
Welcome to the Sony Community.
I would recommend you get in touch with the Sony Support team here who will be able to advise you further on this.
Best wishes,
Sean

Further to your email recommending that I speak to Sony support.
I have been in touch with the support team by phone and by email (I have a reference number if you would like it). However the response I received was that I should watch the website for any software updates. The Sony support team were unable to advise when or if an update would be forthcoming. For a change that was advertised well in advance I find this completely unacceptable - particularly for a product that is still being sold in stores and advertised at compatible with Apple.
I hope that you can assist in an early resolution or at least advise Apple users not to buy these Sony products as they are not compatible. A shame because I think that it is a great Sony product (this is my second one).
Kind regards
Stephen Land

Hi Munich30,
The macOs catalina was announced just a few weeks ago, while the latest update to content transfer was back in 2018. I'm pretty sure it's not going to be compatible.
I've found a link to download the Sony support app: https://www.sony-asia.com/electronics/support/articles/00204426, it notifies me whenever there's a new update or article that was released.
Cheers,

Hi Munich30,
I believe releasing new versions of a computer software takes long time. So, I hope Sony releases a new version soon.
Cheers,

Hey, not sure if you resolved this, but I was also upset content transfer didn't work with Catalina. But I was able to drag and drop. I can't create playlists, but I just use the bookmark lists. Did that work for you?

I have still not solved the problem and despite many discussions with Sony they have not been helpful at all and given no commitment to solving the problems with content transfer. Therefore very interested in your solution. I’m not tech savvy so could you please provide more details on how you drag and drop ?
Many thanks

Connect your walkman, open finder, find the walkman in left pane, click on music folder, select songs from itunes (or any other music app). Drag and drop your selected songs into the music folder.
