WF-1000XM3 settings change when phone receives a notification

I am experiencing an annoying problem with the WF,s. I am listening to music with Ambient sound on and the slider all the way to the  left (noise cancelling off)

If I receive a notification via my iPhone, the music mutes, then returns after the notification, however when the music returns, the setting for noise cancelling is on and the slider is over on the far right.

Using Sony Connect App V7.0.1

Any thoughts on why this might be happening.

I'm not sure why this is happening, but one solution that has been suggested is to turn off or modify notifications on your phone – have you tried this?

Thank you for the reply. 

I do need the alerts from my phones turning them off won't be ideal. I have sent a support request direct to Sony, will see what they come up with.

I will keep this thread updated as when I receive something.
