2 Questions regarding the Physical Camera Button

Hi

I would like to ask 2 questions regarding the Camera Button:

1) Is it possible to customize which app is executed, when the Camera button is pressed?

For example a different app, instead of the Camera app..

2) Is it possible to Disable the Camera button?

So pressing it, will not execute any app at all..

Hi @spaceman5, let me see if I can help you here. 

Regarding question number 1, you can't choose which applications that can be launched when pressing it. The button can only be used in regards to launch the camera application. 

When it comes to your second question, you can turn off that the camera application starts when pressing it. You do this by following this guide: Go to the camera application > Press the gear in the bottom left > Select "More" > Find and choose "Quick launch" by scrolling down a bit > Select "Off".

You really helped me.

BTW, Is it possible to raise feedback to Sony, to enable choosing which app to be executed upon pressing the Camera button?

If they add this setting in the future, I believe it can be useful for many people.

Also another feedback that I would like to give, is to consider adding even more physical buttons, that can be customized to run different apps.

This is a small addition, yet extremely useful..

Is there some feedback email that I can use,

or maybe can you forward it to toe relevant person to consider?

Regarding the feedback comment that you had, i will make sure to forward it internally.

Of course it is hard for me to promise anything here, because this is after all a dedicated camera button. But again, i will forward it.
