Filter over lock screen wallpaper

I have a sony xperia X and my lock screen photo constantly has a filter over it. Is there a way of having no theme at all? Its so annoying
Thanks

What do you mean by filter?
Is this something that came with a 3rd party app?

Can you not set a 3Rd party theme then manually add the lockscreen wallpaper so it doesn't have the filter?

Just tried still the same. Seems weird that it takes such good pictures but cant use them as lock screen without ruining the photo

Hi @Louis27,

I just want to make sure, are you referring to the lock screen effect where your wallpaper is only visible through the time and date text which you then slide to the side to unlock the phone? You can avoid this effect by selecting a wallpaper through Settings > Wallpaper, then selecting to set it as your lock screen wallpaper when asked.

However, if you are referring to the effect where the wallpaper is slightly dimmed on the lock screen I'm sorry to say that there is no setting that allows you to disable this.

@Louis27 I understand how you feel, I will forward your thoughts on this as user feedback.

Hi thanks for the reply. Yes. I was referring to the dimmed screen. Its very frustrating, it spoils the perk of having a good Camera

Why, it was working fine until yesterday. My Xperia xz Premium is fine but the xz Compact has the issue.

I got rid of it by disabling and reabling the dark theme in the android options!!!
