Hello, everyone. I am going traveling with my Sony Xperia X Compact and I need to get a power bank charger for my trip. I've never bought a power bank before, and it turns out that I'm not very well versed in the technical details so my research online hasn't been very productive. I'm hoping someone can just tell me what I need to buy. My priorities are:
1) Affordability -- I'm on a budget
2) Small size -- something I can take with me in my pocket or backpack when I go out for the day. Also something that's not heavy.
3) Would be great if it could recharge the phone more than once before being plugged in since I tend to use a lot of battery power when traveling with the phone.
4) Would be great if it could charge the phone pretty fast.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your help.
I bought one from aliexpress.
Ridiculous low price 20.000 mA with 1.0 and 2.1 A output.
The best investment hower was #https://waka-waka.com/en/product/wakawaka-power-yellow/
Camping, phone charging, in house use, viewing tiny product descriptions, everything.
Really great.
What product did you buy on aliexpress specificlaly?
(I think the wakawaka is not what I need right now. I wouldn't be able to recharge it using solar power while running around as a tourist. Plus I'm in the US.)
Unless I'm mistaken, you sort of have a choice: Efficiency or speed. In terms of a compromise between both, a charging rate of approximately 2 - 2.5 amp would seem best. In terms of charging capacity, if you want to have a crack at charging the phone twice, then you need something along the lines of 7000 to 8000 mAh capacity minimum (since power transfer is not 100% efficient).
One other thing. There has been a lot of misleading advertising in this area, so I would stick with a well-known brand, such as Anker, if possible. Of course, there's still the possibility of obtaining a fake product, so you want to purchase something from a reasonable distributor.
With such high stated capacities as those linked by @Strampke, you really can't go wrong if they're only half what they say they are!
