I have the Xperia X. It has worked for half of the year that I've had it. For the other half I have had to send it in to get fixed because it won't turn on. I have sent it in four times for reair within the past year. FOUR TIMES! That is unacceptable and I am yet to hear from Sony on how they will rectify this situation. I have paid for a high end device for it to NOT WORK for half the year. It is about to run out of warranty and I know that it will stop working again - each time it is the same thing, it just won't turn on. What then? I KNOW it will break again, sinc it has broken consistently every two months if not sooner than that. I am really unimpressed with Sony.
I am sorry to hear that! My Sony Xperia X is flawless in the last six months that I have it. I believe that you are unlucky with that specific device. Has your local Sony service told you where they locate the problem?
I can imagine you're fed up with it.
I agree that Sony should take care and find a proper solution for you.
My advice: don't shout, describe your problem as precise as possible either in this forum or to support. (The support app is on your phone)
My device (Xperia X) is 14 months and works flawless.
I disagree with you about the worst phone ever.
My worst phone ever was the LG Optimus black. P970
In fact I am quite curious about worst phones ever.
Give it a shot and tell us about 'worst phones ever' experiences.
My worst device by far was a Samsung Galaxy young... I don't want to remember... The lagging, the software
-hardware problems... Oh my God, i get angry even remembering it! Lol. With my Sony Ericcson P910i, Sony Xperia E4 and now Sony Xperia X, I never had a serious problem. Iam 99% satisfied with Sony's devices. I definetely like the pure android experience with the minimun bloatware unlikely Samsung does. And I am not a Sony sheep or hardcore fan, I just tell my experience so far.
Agreed. About 3 months after I got it I started having a problem with the charger port. Rather than go through all the hassle of sending it in I decided to limp along with it. The problem got progressively worse and now 9 months in, i need to get a new phone.
That was not very smart.
You might still send your phone to a repair service to get it repaired.
My X has just passed the 2-year mark. I have 100+ apps installed, use it for work, back up, accessing and managing private cloud etc - close to a power user. The Hungarian tech press described it as the perfect office device, and I fully agree. It has to have a factory reset about every 6-8 months in order to retain smooth performance, but that's mostly due to the flawed design of many apps that store information that should be 'Cache' as 'Data', thus clogging the memory, so that's not the fault of the X. I had cheap entry level smartphones first that became a nightmare to use in months, reset or not. Then I tasted Sony with an Xperia M which I loved but quickly outgrew, moving first to a Moto Atrix 4G, then a Samsung S4 Mini. When I learned about Samsung's annoyingly narrow-minded update policy the hard way, I abandoned the brand and returned to Sony, arriving to X, and hoping to use it for some more time. My biggest struggle is screen size - this 5" is just as much as I can manage single-handed, and that's a key feat for me. I recently tried XZ2 for about 10mins, and the single-handed experience was rather strained - thanks but no thanks.
DO NOT BUY A SONY PHONE, THEY ARE RUBBISH. TOO COMPLICATED SYSTEM and just too hard to handle, literally. Too rounded in design, I have dropped this thing so many times it is amazing it is still in tact. iphone everytime from now on. 2 painfull months with this phone has been more than eneough to drive any sane person mad............................................
NEVER AGAIN
Mine is rubbish, Ieven struggle to hold onto it, it's slippery!!!
