Sony XAV-AX5550D and what do i need to set up for mirroring

Hi,i have the above HU and i am after running the screen mirroring for my android phone,could any help on set up and what i would need please..Thanks

This is what I have found.

Mirroring the screen of your device wirelessly on a TV
You can use the Screen mirroring feature to show the screen of your device on a TV
or other large display without using a cable connection. Wi-Fi Direct™ technology
creates a wireless connection between the two devices, so you can sit back and
enjoy your favourite photos from the comfort of your couch. You can also use this
feature to listen to music from your device using the TV's speakers.
When using Screen mirroring, the image quality may sometimes be negatively impacted if
there is interference from other Wi-Fi networks.
To mirror the screen of your device on a TV screen
1 TV: Follow the instructions in the User guide of your TV to turn on the Screen
mirroring function.
2 Your device: From your Home screen, tap .
3 Find and tap Settings > Device connection > Screen mirroring.
4 Tap Start.
5 Tap OK and select a device.
Your TV must support Screen mirroring based on Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Miracast™ for the function
to work. If your TV does not support Screen mirroring, you may need to purchase a wireless
display adapter separately. Also, when using Screen mirroring, do not cover the Wi-Fi antenna
area of your device.
To stop screen mirroring between devices
1 From your Home screen, tap .
2 Find and tap Settings > Device connection > Screen mirroring.
3 Tap Disconnect, then tap OK.

HI, thanks for the information but it was a Sony Head unit i want to screen to not a TV

The HU doesn't support miracast for screen mirroring.

Hi, got it working today,i can cast (mirror) my phone screen to the HU ,i have weblink app installed and that allows me to cast via a app on the HU what my issue was my Samsung phone settings needed changing to allow permission for weblink,i eventually found it deep inside the phone menu once activated i can mirror my phone with HU screen ....

On my Samsung A41 i downloaded the Weblink host app ,my HU the XAV-AX555OD supports weblink and cast .

Once you have the app you connect to the head unit ,then go to weblink icon on HU and then that connects to your phone app and tells you it is connected and what apps you have ,i have Cast,music player ,video player ,waze and you tube ,just hit the cast icon on the HU and your phone screen is now mirrored on to the HU ..I have been using you tube today and could watch a full music concert....As said in a earlier message i had not ticked all the right settings on my to allow weblink and cast to use my phone ,once i  ticked the boxes all as been fine..You do need a genuine usb phone cable i believe as well .
